December 2004, Rioko Minato (Vo & G) met Miki Tanaka (Vo & B), Kosuke Kageyama (Dr & Cho) .
They met at the university band circle and formed a rock band VIRIDIAN.
In 2006, They changed the English verb to a Japanese lyric,and started full-scale activities as a female double vocal band.
June 2008, They announced Mini album "Carolium" by independent production.
In August 2008, They won in the contest "Bass Girl" held at Shibuya O-WEST.
In 2010, They won the contest "RO69JACK 2010" of the music magazine ROCKIN'ON.
January 1, 2011, Band name changed to BARBARS.
March 9, 2011, BARBARS Release of the debut album "OPEN!!!" from King Records.
August 8, 2012 1st Maxi Single "Reverberation Substory" released.
October 10, 2012 release 2nd album "CUT! CUT! CUT!" Released.
November 2013 Drums Kageyama withdrew.
February 2014 welcomed the support drummer and restarted with a new system.
April 2014 Participated in "NAON no YAON 2014"produced by SHOW-YA held at Hibiya Outdoor Large Music Hall as a support guitar and bass of Shishido Kavka.
June 2014. there self produced event "RUBBERGIRL" at LOFT Shinjuku, SOLD OUT!!
December 7, 2016 release of the mini album "O. K!" From King Records.

August 9, 2017 Support drummer Hideaki Iwanaka joins as an official member!
